Subject: RE: burning fields

Freeburg, IL
Sand doesn’t have the OM and biology to digest that much residue, especially in fields that are flooded. At least that’s how it’s been explained to me. They were burning fields this week when I was in SEMO.
I was more shocked at the wheat fields that were completely mowed off by the geese. Was visiting with a buddy that might have had 2 acres worth of viable wheat in a 120 acre field.
