NW Washington | I agree with the previous post. Go with local dealers and extended warranty, especially on the washer.
BTW, all Speed Queen stories do not end well. We bought one based on what I heard on here, and it was a real POS. It was a simple top loader, but it didn't wash well. After about two years, it started dancing all over the laundry, and we couldn't find anyone to even come look at it. My wife hated it. It was a good day when it was hauled off.
