Subject: 3630 Spra coupe valve issue. (Wiring)

So my center boom section valve doesn’t work. I took it off and hooked it to another valves wiring and it works. Sort of, opens about 90%. Ball has lots of scarring so it’s gonna be short lived.

Well I belive my switch in the cab is bad. It reverses polarity when you turn it on and also lights up another wire. Or it’s just wrong all together because one wires number doesn’t match on the boom and in the cab. Can’t get a switch and need to sprayed wheat like yesterday.

Problem is even if I fix the wiring a new valve is different. Ground and hot are constant with the white wire switching the valve. There’s an extra little wire I can’t see where goes on the switch so I’m not sure if I just swap to a normal switch and make it work if that little wire is telling something something that may mess something up. I just don’t know.

Has anyone swapped valves out and just went with a regular switch to turn it on and it not affected the rate controller stuff? I have a 344bce valve from Wylie.

I think the wiring is pretty jacked up. Someone’s been in there and before this issue the end sections came on with switch and you have to be moving to get center to come on to see about plugged nozzles and stuff. But I sure don’t want to make it worse incase I find someone to help me fix it right.

Another option is steal the valve and wiring off agitator and just put a ball valve on it. I run it all the time anyway. Besides mixing something foamy. Same valve and close enough it won’t be ghetto to wire from its connection.
