The Case pivot planters are heavy on the carrier wheels. Basically no tongue weight so less traction and the planter can feel like a ship anchor. The pivot bushings wear and aren't necessarily that hard to change but it is a daunting job. They are a great planter. Yes there was a change to the controllers, maybe about 2008? Not sure what's what on the 1250's
