Jon, it's one thing to agree with his policies but are you actually proud of Trump as a person the way he talks to and treats those he disagrees with?  You can do one without the other.       



See, that the sad thing. There is a segment of the population, his most ardent supporters, who enjoy seeing this behavior. He is doing on the world stage the very things they know they can’t do or say without themselves landing in jail or getting poked in the face.

Unfortunately these folks have always been with us, they just have one of theirs in power now.


So what makes you two any better than him based on those comments? If you had the power that he has how would you treat the people you don’t agree with?

FWIW I am not claiming I am any better. I actually doubt I would be. Until Covid I did not realize how easily ordinary people within our own communities would succumb to the type of despicable behaviour that we have always seen in the rich and powerful. I had assumed that was a trait that was more or less part of the character package that led people to become rich and powerful.

I was wrong. It is a trait that might be just as common among the general population. The only thing missing was the power to treat others like that. When that power was granted during the pandemic that same behaviour was expressed among us regular folk.
