I follow the Dr Albrecht /Neal Kinsey programs on fertility, However Carey Reams method also has practices we should consider such as use of sugars, electrical conductivity of soil, I use manures but the Reams method`s opinion of manure is that `animals use the good stuff and poop out the harmful stuff`. .. which we apply to the field. I don`t use enough manure to say one way or other, but the heavy manure believers then to say the first year it`s super, but as the years go by it`s evident you hit a plateau after the first couple years.

one thing about milk replacer at 4oz/acre any ol` 50lb $80 bag would do 200 acres. that said, I`m not using milk replacer, but I will put sugar in my liquid starter :-)
