| Yea Elon says the solution is solar panels in space. Which would negate a need for any more oil.
Narratives are nice and all. But just look at these charts
I don’t think India or Africa are topping out any time soon. And if they start going parabolic like China…. and China will prbly continue up at least some
And it seems the highest use for oil world wide is transportation accounting for 60% of usage.
And I’m very skeptical on ev taking that over. Batteries flat out just dont work in the cold. And batteries go bad after too long. They don’t hold their charge. And a lot of infrastructure still needs to go in to support them.
Honestly I think Elon wants extremely high oil prices. It WOULD help drive ev adoption. Like during 2021
