North Central Indiana | I can help solve most of your concerns. Pre NH3, spray fungicide from a plane or buy your own drone so you can do a good job, post spray on an angle and try to make it a one pass post. These flex hybrids make up for spraying on the angle if you do it early enough. More rows on the corn head is a fixed expense that isnt easy to reduce. Although I feel we get a little longer life out of each row since it harvests less plants per row over one acre than you do in 30” rows so it isn’t truly a one to one comparison. Big pluses in my book, a sprayer that isn’t focused on spraying tasseled corn is much more affordable so that’s a savings to me. Honestly wouldn’t need a self propelled if you’re just spraying 20” corn and beans. But we still run one for the comfort side of things. | |
