Subject: RE: China Economy

Central and N.E. ND
There are plenty of US made blades. Grand Forks, ND makes blades.

West Fargo, ND used to make the turbine towers. I got a tour in 2012 or so while in engineering school. The 4" thick steel rings for bolting sections together came from South Korea at the time. It was cheaper to buy and ship those. They rolled and welded the towers in the building.

The worry was when China or Korea could build a ship to efficiently ship blades or towers here at economies of scale without fatigue issues. I would worry in blade shipment any micro cracking showing up with how much a ship deflects in high seas.
