Subject: RE: Metribusin on wheat

South Central Illinois

Finesse is usually the first option.
Metribuzen can be used to enhance the Finesse,
Some varieties tolerate Metribuzen well,
Some varieties do not tolerate it as well,
Some varieties do not tolerate it at all.
There are some application restrictions on both.
The Metribuzen label lists the varieties and how much can be applied and when.
This Information is nearly 50 years old.
Obviously none of the varieties are still in use.
December 15 would have been a better application date.
Obviously the weather was record cold at that time.
Check with your seed company agronomist.
