| I have a Filson I got as part of a herd dispersal package. I’m not a big fan. I used it for 4 or 5 years but any more I just run them through the hydraulic squeeze with it narrowed up all of the way. It is slightly easier to castrate in the calf chute but it is tough to get a good brand on them since it lets them wiggle around a lot when they are laid over on their side. Maybe if we were working them younger it might work out better, our bigger calves are usually around 325-350 by the time they are getting worked. | |
