| A guy from west Texas that my dad knows who got out of farming in the late 80’s and then started buying dividend stocks on companies he knows like Exxon John Deere and caterpillar thru the 90’s then bought a nice ranch outside of Austin tx and now the town has grown up around it and it’s probably worth more than all his other investments combined, told me in 2020 that if he was a young man he would take a risk on Plains All American Pipeline.
Didn’t realize it’s paying an 8% dividend
Guy had no college education but damn was he financially literate
