ecmn		We are a mostly alfalfa winter feed. And then they are grazing alfalfa as it comes out of winter.

There is some truth to the alfalfa but it's grazing rich green growing alfalfa that gets them out of wack with the calcium.

Dry hay is fine. Actually if you have fed calcium to the alfalfa it might help reduce milk fever
