Eastern Nebraska | In the feedlot we used to get them in the squeeze chute, band as close to the skull as possible, then cut off with hand saw or sawzall. Then we would cauterize with an electric horn burner. It would work pretty slick and we would cut off some pretty big horns. Sometimes those veins can really be gushers. Haven't had any for quite a while with horns big enough to worry about. | |
