Holland, Indiana (SW IN) | We'll only have Soybeans planted in 2026 ---about 1/3 hedged in some way at 11.22 Nov I thought it was a gift when Nov 2026 double topped about $11.30 after Thanksgiving
Patience on the rest --long time till harvest --should get a scare of some type before fall --have to be ready
--going to Crop Insurance meeting Jan 20 ----
Interested in what advice CI lays out we usually only buy 60% EU for soybeans --
Soybeans very safe crop IMO our area --try to plant Soybeans April 10 if we can pull the planter with a 4X4 tractor
Possibly CI will come up with a SCO or another gov + CI strategy--we will not spend much per acre on SB Crop insurance ---just never collected on SB

FWIW we have about 20% of our 2025 corn left to price ----glad my SIL was selling
