Completely incorrect.
You're implying rig count=barrels. Rigs are only up for a week or two at most per well anymore before they tip them over and haul them elsewhere. Technology has came thousands of miles in the last decade and even more the decade before that.
Most, if not all, wells drilled this century will be running until the next. The US is energy independent with the amount of oil it produces right now today.
Look at the reports of what we use and what we produce. Basically every refinery north of Oklahoma is either using our oil or has the capability to use our oil. We're out exporting Saudi Arabia and have been for a while.
What you're saying is like what Bloomberg said about farming. Its not that simple and far from correct. |
