ecmn | Not when it's reported by the crop adjusters. I'm learning around here if I want big aph's I need to have crop insurance adjust my fields before I harvest.
We try to do everything right, weigh the wet bushels, sample every load into the wet bin, keep a close eye on moisture out of the dryer, and calculate the shrink so we can report accurately. Talked to a neighbor today who had a good year. His corn average was about 175. 2 of his neighbors have corn still standing. Crop adjusters come out to assign yields since the coverage was done in December. Both get assigned yields of 210 and 213. How can it be that much higher than the other guys crop? So we can probably count on another increase when crop insurance data is included? What a joke. | |
