S Illinois | I can research the government data and compare as documentation isn't a problem for government entities. This allows to go back and look at what happened in following reports and also what errors are possible. Then one can also compare what the price did to know if the government data was correct or not. I don't try and use the USDA as the scapegoat as to why price goes where it goes especially when it goes the opposite way I would like.
If the market wasn't leaning so hard one way, this report wouldn't have been nearly as big a deal as it seems. 200mb change in ending stocks on half a bu yield increase and 1.3 million harvested isn't an astronomical change. It's only because everyone was assuming a somewhat large decrease in production that caused the reaction there was. 16.4 billion bu in demand is amazing demand. Its just that farmers continue to get better at growing crops. | |
