Page 7 has the principal crop acres planted/harvested. It's running a little over 310 million acres. Total farmland in the US is usually estimated at 850-900mil as that pulls in pasture and timber. I have also seen the 1.2 billion when a large somewhat subjective net is cast over anything resembling land used for ag. I am going to assume that whenever that sprawl number is listed it is referencing acres out of the 850 million bucket or even the larger one.
