Southern Missouri | Sold the first of my 2025 corn in January of 2025, for January 26 delivery at the chicken feed plant which is 30 miles from the farm of course because the basis and price was much much higher than fall delivery price at any elevator that’s close enough to the farm to keep the combine running most of the day ,the bins keep the combine running constantly all day , the bins make the selling price always be higher by allowing the higher basis everytime I sell because I never sell for harvest time basis , no matter what day of what year I sell for , this doesn’t seem that hard to understand yet everytime we have price do what it’s doing right now we get the grain bins posts . | |
