Subject: Livestock scale stability?

Eastern SD
I built a scale for weighing and sorting fat lambs. I just used a cheap scalehead and weighbars i bought off ebay. The weighbars are square and have the adjustable feet. Works well except that some lambs tend to jump around a lot and it can be difficult to get an accurate weight. Im wondering if there is a way to stabilize the whole thing? Would making the platform a lot heavier help? Are there different weighbar systems that are better? Id prefer not to have to squeeze the lambs if i dont have to just because i think it would slow things down and add more complexity. Any ideas are appreciated
