West central IL
I have a four year degree, and I said “sometimes” I wish. I’m certainly happy overall being a farmer and the positives that go with it. I’m mostly calling out your dismissive attitude towards farmers’ work ethic. Pretty much every farmer I know works hard, is smart, has ingenuity, etc. Are there lazy unproductive farmers. I’m sure you can find shining examples. Are there some vocations that are more physically or mentally demanding than farming? Of course. Overall, if you take a random sampling of people, I’ll take the farmers work ethic over the average working guy every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
