Subject: RE: Kinze/John Deere planter to White/Massey Ferguson planter?

I began using white planters (from a deere vac) about 20 years ago. What features does the white have?. These days it's rare to see a stock white out running. My white used a blower system for seed metering. Initially, I used tractor hydraulics but later went to a pto pump for this. Imo, the pump was by far the better option. No talc/graffite needed for the white. You adjust air pressure depending upon the seed size. For corn/beans there are differing plates you run based on seed size. I run small plates with corn and just account for seed weight with corresponding air pressure adjustment. I like white planter. Not a big learning curve thing. You won't seed a blackened face (graffite overspray) in the mirror at night after planting all day with a white.
