| Stupid question..I’m supplementing just a few lbs of alfalfa to my cows for protein, I do this instead of licktubs. They always have access to cool season/brome/fescue mix hay.
I’m talking like one square bale of alfalfa per day to 20 bred cows, due Mar 1.
My neighbor told me not to feed alfalfa to pregnant cows because of milk fever or something along those lines.
Should I be concerned??
