If you cant figure out how to own and run a combine for less than $90-$140 per acre i think id quit farming.
I think that's the total cost of harvesting for alot of guys. Combines, headers with carts, graincart, tractor, trucks, trailers, pickups, labour, repairs, mapping software, ect. Maybe even the fact that shop has to be bigger to fit combines and the time they are in there.
Custom harvesters can spread those costs over many multiples of acres
