| That $4.58 option looks good, until I am hauling 1 or 2 loads a day 4 days a week.
I sold some this fall for $4.45 and thought I did good. No need to haul to another farm. Save expense time etc.
Yeh, 2 weeks later we are finishing up, after snow and 2 bouts of high wind....
The OP, there is a lot of time left for me to screwup even worse.
Odds are about 85% ( WAG) we see higher cash prices come spring.
I can lock in higher prices now, if I chose.
If I sell now after the drop, we are still about .20 over early harvest prices.
