When you say it acts dead, is it not doing anything? Completely silent?
Also, there should be a diagnostic led on the board if it is that model. It should show a series of blinks if there is a fault which should be somewhat explained on the door. Report back please.
It does nothing. The fan won't even go on when switched to manual.
