 East of Broken Bow | The price hasn't been down more than 24 hours, so I wouldn't panic yet. There is still plenty of time for the price to turn around. Yes, the prices went down a quarter, and may go down more, but I've seen it happen before, and I'm still here.
I remember just last year, corn was about $3.80-$3.85 cash nearby price around new years or shortly after, and today it is $3.80, about the same. I had the opportunity last spring to contract corn for $4.75 summer delivery, and I see no reason it won't reach at least $4.50 again sometime this spring. The key thing will be if the price goes up enough to be profitable, to jump on it. | |
