I share his position that a person's focus can change with their position in finances and age in years. For most of my life I focused on growth. Growing assets. Trying to create wealth. Five years ago I made a concerted effort to transition from growth orientation to a more protective orientation. To more of a "don't do something stupid and lose what I've worked a lifetime to establish".
