SCMN | I mean that's kind of my main point. Seems to be a lot of effort to grow corn in places where cattle would seem to be a much better solution for the farmer/rancher. Even if most of these ranches are most likely old money, and row cropping is a hell of lot less work than cattle ranching for a majority of the year, it just feels out of balance to force a corn crop in the high plains. In reality that's just my opinion and nothing is going to change it, short of a lack of profitability. | |
