Wind resistance of the camper will probably be more of a factor than the weight.

Might compare rear end ratios and tire sizes to get a combination more suited for towing than fuel milage if towing the camper a lot of miles.

The transmission will also be a factor, but I'm not familiar with the years the 8 or 10 speeds became available.
