NW KS/ SC ID | As someone who lives in Idaho a few months out of the year and has to deal with excessive noise pollution at that location, id advise that you do everyone a favor and don't put pivots in. If the farmer isn't making any money, subsidize him, heck of a lot cheaper than the pivots.
Also, if there is an active FFA chapter or 4H chapter around, see about donating the hay to them and let them put it up, or hire the farmer to put it up for them. I bet he'll get a crew to buck bales if you did it that way.
