I've got a ram 1500 MegaCab 5.7 hemi for my farm work truck, its pretty impressive, heavy halfton, gets around well and drives nice. Its no diesel but itll pull 3100lbs no problem. 20k budget able to pull 3100 pounds your pretty much open to anything over 10 years old or over 150k miles
