middleish iowa | I would gladly report my planted acres ASAP to a database that was open to the public. Especially if USDA gave an incentive either by payment or eligibility for subsidized crop ins.
This might put an end to all the private information gathering by corporations to profit from farm data.
Just put it all out there for everyone. It would not have to be a mandatory report by farmers to report early. Only if they wanted to participate in Federal Crop Insurance subsidized coverage.
While they are at it, all Fed. Crop Ins. payments should be made public ASAP in real time. Full public disclosure would stabilize price and help reduce some of the large scale fraud. | |
