The USDA is by law prohibited from releasing data that may be used to impute any individual's production. In some fringe areas there may be only a few farmers growing corn or beans. Seems ridiculous when many farmers willingly give their detailed production numbers to private third parties already.
Can the "Freedom of Information Act" pertain to USDA?
