I have an LP fored air furnace in my shop, something like the one pictured. It's driving me nuts. Sometimes it will turn right on. Other times it is as dead as a door nail. Sometimes it will act like it wants to light, try and few times and then give up. Yet other times, when you turn it on and it acts dead, it will randomly start up later.
I had a furnace guy out twice. He figured the only thing it could be was the the flame detector. He said if they test under 1 (ohm, watt, amp or some other electrical term) they need to be replaced. This one tested 3.3, but he replaced it anyway. Worked once or twice but it is back to the same problems.
I am thinking it must be the circuit board, though I hate spend $250 on a $600 dollar furnace if that isn't it.
Any ideas?

If it is exactly like that furnace(anyone puts their sticker on) it is a bad solder joint. Take the board out and start wiggling things.
