I routinely pull 10k lbs with a 1/2 ton Ram 5.7 Hemi. It's a 7x20 gooseneck livestock trailer though. I have put air bags on it because of the gooseneck. It would've not even known a bumper pull 3k lb trailer was back there. Plenty of going and stopping power for that.
Best used pickup for pulling a camper.
