We finish cattle on a whole corn and pellet ration. We also have hogs mixed in with the cattle. The hogs get no supplemental feed and they seem to do well, but I'm not worried about cost of feed or rate of gain on them, so it may be inefficient and I don't know it. Maybe the cattle break the corn down a little bit for the hogs so it works better, I have no real idea about that. used to hogs always followed cattle recycling hot mush. Nothing went to waste. |
