The choice of cutting method will be determined by several things, what will you be cutting, rocks, terrain. The advantage of a center pivot, or self-propelled, is that cutting does not have to be done in lands.
Have tried them all, for here, with pure alfalfa, a self propelled, sickle bar with steel rolls has proven to be the best. No need to be looking behind.
