Actually, this pump is on a bracket with rebar legs, due to a different project. It's maybe not a foot off the ground, but 6-10 inches. Mice seem to have incredible climbing cabapilities! I wonder if there would be a way to cut out the flashing fairly tightly maybe even around just the engine and not the pump.... I'll hafta check into that.

In response to another poster that talked about using banjo fittings to uncouple the pump and put it inside, this pump is for QLF products, and the molasses product would make a real mess every time I unhook the pump!!
