Its an override switch......THAT bat *^% crazy THING rests itself when the key is cycled. I'm not so sure it doesn't recycle it self after so many minutes of time past. Mine has came on going down a gravel county road and a prairie trail ..........Garbage on a farm truck. Freightliner told me that can not deactivate it with the programmer they have. IDK ,You would think they could.

When the semi tractor I normally drive was in for an engine rebuild, I drove a rental truck with "lane departure" You could not disable/override it for very long. It would automatically come back on after a time, even without shutting the engine off, and restarting it. Shutting the truck off, and restarting it would bring it back immediately. But as I mentioned, it would come back on it's own after a relatively short time in normal driving. |
