SE ND | 3pt pros:
easy loading/unloading trailer as you said
easier to cross rough/uneven terrain like plow paths with a tractor with duals
very little maintenance
easier to get correct height/angle for loading roll
easier to back up to load a new roll
easier to back up alongside starter hole
3pt cons:
watch out if operator is driving too fast and hits a big bump.... topper can fly off toward the tractor - I've seen it happen like a spring loaded launcher
instead of just driving, operator has to watch their 3 pt height
can use a smaller tractor with trailer stringer
when we have to go on the road we throw 2 straps on to hold the topper down | |
