Subject: RE: John Deere 8700 forage harvester 2630 monitor harvest settings

Woodham, Ontario
I have a 9700 that came with a 2630 on the armrest. I tried to use the 2630 for one fall... You need the correct crop types to harvest. You NEED "Corn Silage" as a crop type, you can't use "Corn". You need to make a new setup file with every crop, field, header... everything. It all needs to be there before you can select it. If you don't have the crop type or header in there, it won't let you make a new one. You need to select the right crop for the HarvestLab to work.

The 2630 in my 9700 didn't have any activations on it, so instead of buying activations for an older generation screen, I run a 4640 or G5+ screen in the harvester for documenting yields and autosteer.
