Subject: RE: Continuous fence question

Central Nebraska
Years ago Grandpa built part of the pens around barn with sucker rod and oil well pipe. Sucker rod was 5/8" and it has connectors on it to tie sticks together. Pipes were put in a 5 gal bucket of concrete and set in ground. Post spaced 10ft apart im guessing, with a "stay" welded on all rods half way between post. Sucker rod was hung with clips that were welded on to pipe. They started as a piece of 1" wide flat iron probably 1.5" long with 1 end welded onto pipe before setting. Then after you hang sucker rod you beat the flat iron around and weld it to the pipe. Built that setup in the late 70s. the pipes are rusting out now.
