doing it tends to piss off other drivers while slowing down for the next light to turn green. They are in such a hurry to get to the next red light....idiots.

I know what you mean.
I drive that way, when I see a red light ahead I slow down/coast and hopefully don't have to come to a complete stop before the light changes.

Idiots also HAVE to pass you when you are already doing 10 over the limit and following other traffic ahead of you.
So they mash the pedal to pass when there is hardly enough time to do it then have to brake behind the next vehicle and eventually repeat the when you come to the next set of stop lights they are waiting for the light to change as you coast up and drive through on the green just behind them

Of course I am an old guy not in a hurry to go anywhere because I leave early for any appointment I might have.
