Bought a welder/generator instead of the automatic one for the house. I bought the Hobart because it is a simple basic machine without the electronics. Have used it once for the house and a couole of times on the farm for the welder. Keep a battery maintainer on it and shut off the gas to it and let it run out of gas to empty the carb. No problems so far in 7 yrs
