| That can be highly variable for sure!
I assume in the Dakotas large relatively flat fields cost a lot less to run in than some folks, say, in Kentucky farm.
Even locally there is a huge difference.
A few years ago I was talking to a fellow who said the rent on a certain farm was to high.
It sounds high until one figures the time to farm it is about half of what it takes 2 miles away.
I bet $50 an acre won't get mine done. I run a 15 year old machine also, so not new by any means.
