Are you feeding dairy or beef? When Jung’s was a thing in our area that’s what we planted and would yield like anything else.. still haven’t had anything yield what there hds would. Have been planting dual purpose since. A lot of your tonnage weight comes from the cob, so it’s important to have something that can grow a cob yet leaf out. I still can’t get anything to yield what the HDS seed did… maybe I need to try the $300 bag corn.

I shoot for tonnage and energy. Dairy guys shoot for starch and digestibility. True silage corn will lack some grain content compared to a dual purpose/grain corn
