If you like your bull, you really need to think this through. Today's bull values are the highest ever. Angus bulls posted $8300 average for last year. I think SimAngus are doing well too

Go to your insurance agent and price death AND loss of use insurance. Tack the expense onto rental fee.

I recommend a BSE and trich test before he goes and after he returns. Tack these fees onto the rental fee. Do not forget to do this whatever you decide on price. These things protect your renter and your cow herd.

Your base fee is imo what you should take to the bank as a profit from the rental.

I have folks ask to use a bull. 30 years ago, we did on a limited basis with 2 neighbors. When we started paying bigger monies for herd bulls, I talked with Dad and we stopped.
