E.Central MN
My brother bought a 1 yr old Chevy that was traded in at the Dodge dealer (they also owned the local GM dealership in that town). After talking to him a couple times it was clear the salesman didn't want to help in getting the second set of keys from the former car owner, he just quoted the price that the GM dealer would charge for a new key and fob. My brother called one day and the salesman that wrote up his deal was out of the office so he talked to a different salesman and offered him $50 to see if the original owner still had the keys. That sales guy called a week later and said he got the 2nd set of keys and fob, my brother gave him the $50 even though he said it wasn't necessary. I think a new set w/fob was over $400 from GM.
